TalkEn.Cloud Online Platform Turns 1!
On August 5, 2022, we presented and officially launched TalkEn.Cloud, a platform that has everything needed for high-quality and convenient English teaching! A year has passed, and it is time to sum up the first results of our work. We looked back at everything that happened to us this year and decided to share it with you.
Preparing to launch the platform
The idea for the platform grew out of the Green Country Books pilot project. We planned to bring a new product to market in summer 2022: a platform with a library of interactive textbooks. Because of the full-scale invasion, our team was scattered across different corners of the world, but that did not stop us. Working remotely, we became even more coordinated and productive, because we had a shared goal: to launch the platform no matter what. We refined the platform’s features, updated the structure of the textbooks, developed the website, communicated with you and invited you to the presentation, which we also prepared for veeery far in advance.
Launching the platform
So it was August 2022. The presentation took place on the 5th and was attended by more than 2,000 Ukrainian educators. In the very next days, the first clients joined the platform, and we started consulting, setting up processes, answering questions and running online training sessions. Today, more than 150 schools, courses and English tutors work with us, teaching over 4,500 students on the platform!

Alongside developing the platform, we kept up our educational activities and constantly ran webinars and trainings for you. Over the year we ran more than 50 hours of training, trained more than 7,000 teachers and issued about 6,000 professional development certificates. After seeing your feedback on training with us, we developed a new, more in-depth format of teacher training: courses with a personal account for each participant.
Expanding the textbook library
Of course, we have been constantly expanding our library of interactive textbooks, and now we have 50 of them!
Besides school levels, over the past year we added textbooks for adults (levels from pre-A1 to C1).
Partnerships
This year we also made friends who share our values. As part of our partnership with the SavEd charitable foundation, we are taking part in developing a curriculum for the restoration of a lyceum in Zhytomyr, and we taught 1,300 students on the platform in Digital Learning Hubs in different cities of Ukraine. In addition, we became a member of the Association of Educational Institutions of Ukraine and together we run events to train Ukrainian teachers.
Following our mission of developing Ukrainian education, and not limiting ourselves to English, we collaborated with the authors of a Ukrainian language textbook and gave Ukrainian language teachers access to interactive tools. The platform now has Ukrainian language textbooks for grades 5 and 6 (authors A. Onatii and T. Tkachuk).
Social projects
We also did not forget what we can do to support education during the war. So in September 2022 we announced a grant for English teachers who had been forced to relocate from occupied or destroyed territories and wanted, but were unable, to continue teaching their students. 55 teachers used the grant, and over 4 months, thanks to the grant funds, 1,500 students learned English on the platform.
We did not overlook schoolchildren either. In May 2023, together with the Green Country network of English schools, we held a national online English olympiad, which 9,000 Ukrainian students joined!
We can confidently say that we are proud of our achievements, but we have many more plans and areas for growth that we will put into practice and develop next year.
